DR EMMA RICHARDSON
Dr Emma Richardson is a registered psychologist with extensive experience in both therapy and psychological assessment. Her therapeutic approach draws on psychodynamic psychotherapy, EMDR trauma therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

Emma works with children, adolescents, adults and couples with particular interests in attachment, trauma, identity, and neurodiversity.
She is highly experienced in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, including diagnostic evaluations for autism using the MIGDAS-2 framework, ADHD assessments, cognitive testing, and psychopathology assessments. Her reports are known for their clarity, clinical insight, and strengths-based, practical recommendations.

Emma brings a creative and playful energy to her work with children, often using craft, storytelling, and hands-on activities to build engagement and emotional safety in therapy.
​
Originally from Ireland, Emma completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at University College Dublin and a master's in Counselling at the University of Edinburgh. She later undertook psychotherapy training through the Tivoli Institute in Dublin. Emma holds a PhD in Psychology from Macquarie University in Sydney, where she remains actively involved in research.

She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), holds General Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA), and is a registered Medicare and SIRA provider.

Smita Arora is a clinical psychologist and board-approved supervisor with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals across the lifespan. She works with clients from diverse cultural and social backgrounds, assisting with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, anger, adjustment difficulties, low self-esteem, interpersonal challenges, and the exploration and affirmation of gender and sexual diversity.
​
Smita has a particular interest in relationship difficulties and draws on the Gottman Method when working with couples. She is passionate about creating a collaborative and inclusive therapeutic space where clients feel welcomed, heard, and empowered.
​
Her person-centred approach ensures that each session is tailored to the client’s unique needs, using evidence-based interventions that build on their strengths, values, and goals.
​
In addition to her clinical work, Smita provides supervision to provisional and early career psychologists, supporting their professional growth with a reflective, strengths-focused style.
Outside of work, Smita enjoys starting her day with sunshine and a cup of tea. She finds joy in dancing, adventure sports, and making the most of life’s simple pleasures.
